I think North has plenty for a free 1s response. 6 working hcp, two doubletons, 5 cd suit, why silent? I'd bid 1s on anything resembling 7 total points, change QS to JS and I'd still bid Get the fit in while it's cheap!

I feel like GIB requires too much to bid at the 1 level, whereas it bids quite freely on bad flat 6 counts at the 3 level after the opps raise a major after partner's takeout double. This is backwards. The free 3 bids are described as "6-10" total points, they should probably be more like 8-11?

Thanks for reporting.

It was a long time staying bug seen when there are two passes and opening which partner doubles. With only partner(north) or nobody passed it was ok.

Explanation and rule applied for two passes was 9-12TP which GIB here wasn't able to suffice.

Fixed in v28. So it will be as regular 6-12TP as none or once passed partner. And with displayed hand GIB would bid 1 over 1 showing: Free bid; new suit -- 4+ ; 11- HCP; 6-12 total points

6-12 TP is too wide range IMO. I think range should be about 6-9? 10-12 should still bid 2S over 1H.
