This occurred in an ACBL Robot game, IMP scoring (which is worse for this result). Despite losing 11.7 IMPs on this hand for down 7, I still won the event by scoring +53.6 IMPs on the other 11 boards.
I was South. The other players were Robots.
When is GIB going to learn that a takeout double followed by a new suit shows a strong single suited hand? It is very unlucky that 6♣ fails.
By the way, I was not alone in this result. There was a -600, another -700 and a -800 (undoubled). There was also a +1440 (I did not look to see how the play went - I don't think my stomach could take it).
