The double should deny 4+ Diamonds, and promise 5+ Spades (in addition to "biddable")

GIB, from my experience, treats ALL doubles as takeout and NEVER passes.

Never may be a little strong, but GIB pulls far more penalty doubles than it should.

Best choice at this vulnerability playing with GIB is to pass 2. You should beat the value of game, assuming that you can make a game.
