GIB, from my experience, treats ALL doubles as takeout and NEVER passes.

Never may be a little strong, but GIB pulls far more penalty doubles than it should.
Best choice at this vulnerability playing with GIB is to pass 2♠. You should beat the value of game, assuming that you can make a game.
