I see they played 2C as 4+/3+ majors either way, does anyone have any more info?

Only that the CC also says that they usually need 5+ diamonds if only 4-3 in the majors. I have seen at least one example where they did not overcall on a (43)15 hand and came away with a minus when the other table was able to. The structure suggests to me that their 2♦ advance was probably non-forcing.

This defense is very popular in the Stockholm region. It is extremely simple and its name shows that. It is called Stayman.
The 2♣ bid doesn't promise much in the majors. It asks advancer to bid a four card major. If he doesn't have one, advancer will bid 2♦.
So, you can overcall 2♣ on 33 in the majors with a diamond suit (pass anything advancer bids) or with 55 in the majors (bid 2♥ over 2♦ to make partner pick a major).

Interesting and an attractive method. I also find it funny. RHO opens 1NT you bid 2♣ alerted and explained as (Garbage) Stayman.
Has anyone written something about the pros and cons of this method?
I can see at least one advantage. When you have a better distributional hand the fact that you know whether advancer has four cards in your major could be quite helpful.
It would be easy to combine this with Woolsey or what some call Multi Landy.
