I have what I said I have, with no real unexpected offensive or defensive suprises. I will pass and see what partner wants to do.

If partner has as litte as KQJT9x AKxxx A A we are cold for 7NT! I am going to try that.

Seriously, why would anyone do anything other than pass?

IMO Pass = 10, Double = 9, 5 = 7. It's close and unless this is a forcing pass context, I quite like FrancesHinden's double.

Basically, under this scenario without forcing pass there are two ways to play double: first, as a warning not to bid on, and second as an invitation to bid on.

The hand is much more suit oriented now than when the auction began, so although I have shown my hand I have an opportunity to futher clarify what type hand it is, so I would like to use double as showing a hand where 4H surely would have made.

I think double is called for because this hand is much better suited to play 4H than it could have been.

Double and 5 are all eggs in one basket bids and I'm not comfortable with either should we be opposite 4 cards in hearts with bad breaks looming.

Since I don't consider either bid to be clear cut, the decision ALWAYS belongs to pass out seat. In this case a 3rd seat opener could have anything from power to shape with both or a bit of a joke. Is North diving or giving up on slam? Only pard knows.

I think playing forcing pass and/or playing double for a specific meaning, rather than natural is odd in this auction..

In a competitive auction, where nobody knows who has the strength and everyone bidding, and 1 side reaching 5 level. This is like the border area between El Paso Texas and Juarez Mexico. All bad things happen there and you just can not disable yourself from passing and sitting on a 5 level contract, without your pass indicating anything other than what it actually says

If we play some sort of forcing pass here, i don't see an end to it. We may as well play it everywhere.

"Oh, i have balanced 6 hcp, but my cards seems to fit pd's hand! Lets create a pdship agreement which makes our pass forcing in order to cover these type of hands, in this type of auctions, because forcing passesand/or doubles solves 5 level decisions perfectly !"

In fact, i don't see any bid better than a natural pass here. We are sitting behind 2 overcaller, and we would definetely dbl with any numberof trick(s). If pd is void in clubs, he knows we dont have wasted values there. He is either 5431 6430 5530 5521 etc. In most cases if we held values instead of A, that would be useful as well. So pd knows whatever we have will be working, by simply looking at our natural pass.

"Well to be perfectly honest, in my humble opinion, of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view, but also by looking into this matter in a different perspective and without being condemning of one's view's and by trying to make it objectified, and by considering each and every one's valid opinion, I honestly believe that I completely forgot what I was going to say."
