2/1 GF
1♠ - 2♥
3♥ - 3♠
Does opener's 3♥ show extras?
Is 3♠ more useful as a cuebid (A or K in spades) or showing a double fit?
we play serious 3NT; we don't play any funky keycard asks like kickback or 6-ace RKCB.

cuebid or double fit?

I prefer cuebid personally but they are both fine and many good players play double fit, in fact I would guess double fit is the more common meaning. Most important thing is to have an agreement about it.

Agree with Justin.
the following is a double-fit:
1M - 2m
3m - 3M
but the OP auction is the exception:
1S - 2H
3H - 3S = cuebid for the established suit, ♥
