This hand is another advert for the Garozzo 2♥ response to 1♦, showing 7-10 with 5♠ and 4♥ (weaker if 5-5).

One of the main worries when bidding 2♦ is missing a good 4♥, which could now never happen. 2♦ is fine for me, but that's also because I think people set the bar for a raise to 3 too high.

Great find helene! I think there was also an older, longer one but I don't think there'd be much difference with this one. I also think jdonn won that debate (not because mikeh didn't reply but simply because he gave better reasons).
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.
