Hi, I recently wanted to find a teammatch for my partner and myself, and failed miserably. What I suggest is a pool for pairs interested in playing a teammatch, and then whenever 4 pairs are in the pool, they can play teams.

For TM it is much more important to have pairs not single players, since you are going to stuck with partner for at least 8 boards.

I was going through the process, documenting how to start a team match on BBO web.

Try setting up a team match, and just enter yourself and your partner. You will get tons of requests. You will have a team match going pronto, in all likelihood.

LOL - In my case it was awkward declining them, because I was not even setting one up! Only trying to do screen captures of the steps.

Unfornately those players are a bit random and leave very often after a bad board or if they dont like their partner. And if 3 people leave the match is canceled (if a team is losing big they sometimes all leave).

Having a poll of pairs, as Gerben suggests will be quite an improvement, since you will have much better opopnents (people who at least play the same system) on average and they are not as likely to leave in the middle of the hand. Of course it will take longer to start a much, but for me at least would be worth it.
