The contract was ice cold, making 8 tricks exactly on a non-trump lead. GIB's play, though... ... let's just say they made 11 tricks.. I may put up the play of the hand tomorrow.

Fixed not to use Stayman ( as here ignoring spade length shown by opener) and use it only with other major 4th.

As here having 5 cards it would transfer with 2♦ as other major is not reasonable to show with using Smolen conv later.

But after 1♣/1♦ - 1NT it would continue with 2♣ Stayman.
