I reside in Atlanta and looking for an A- or better player to play/learn Precision in an ongoing partnership. I currently have 1,400 Master Points. Seeking to play with someone living outside of Atlanta [whereby we would play several times online weekly and meet up at tournaments monthly [+/-]. Defensively I am accustomed to playing Upside Down Count/Attitude and Odd-Even discards, although flexible. Precision system and other “gadgets” results in very powerful/competitively advantageous system; however, it does involve a significant amount of memorization/complexity…. but boy it’s great fun !!! My track record during tournaments is very strong; my modest level of master points reflect working and raising three active kids didn’t allow for much tournament play.

I’m 56, married, three sons post college, retired hotelier, lots of interests outside bridge and comical. I am open to listening, learning and communicating to constantly improve both individually and the respective partnership.

Recently in the October 2012 Knoxville Sectional my Knoxville partner and I finished 3rd and 4th in Overall Tournament Master Points with 28+ playing this Precision system, etc.

You might find it useful to make posts about finding a partner in the Find a Partner forum. If you do not get a suitable applicant and you do not feel that B/I players are below you then you could do worse than checking out the BIL Precision course, where you will find many like-minded players.

Paul -- I invite you to look me up online. I love Precision and other big club systems -- played a lot of big club + canape (opening 4 card majors) on the limited hands at matchpoints (to avoid missing 4-4 major fits in partials).

Anyway, it's unlikely that I can travel all the way East and I wouldn't expect you to travel all the way West so if we play it will likely be online.

But again, I love Precision and my two favorite system books are Power Precision by Alan Sontag and Match-Point Precision by CC Wei and Ron Anderson.

My masterpoint totals are even lower than yours (I have been a lapsed ACBL member for about 15 years now), but I doubt that you will be disappointed with my play. Lets try it out on bridgebase and see where we go.

It is here, somewhat bizarrely under BBO Online Discussions. There is also a forum for Offline Bridge that is often used to seek partners for face to face events.
