partner obviously has the 21-22 bal but I have no clue how many hearts he has, or even if he has a heart stopper. I bid 3♠.

This is kinda weird. We have 25-26 combined, RHO has 12+, so LHO with at most 3 points can make a penalty double? It sounds like QJT9x over there. RHO probably has a couple of hearts for not overcalling anything, so my guess is partner has AKx and was catering for us to have 4 small. I bid 3S.

edit: isn't 3S what we bid on xxxxx xxx x Axxx? Change my bid to 3NT.

this one requires a lot of table feeling, LHO could double quickly, and RHO could pass reluctantly making my choices easier.

I am inclined to pass and make them pay, but I would feel a lot more comfortable at MPs than having team mates at the other table

I think this one just shows four decent hearts, so I am pulling to 3♠. I want to play it in 3NT.
