In bridge, what is the priority in leading when partner bid spades, and contract is clubs, and I have ace and queen of spades. Does the rule "do not underlead an ace" here override the rule "lead with the suit that your partner has bid"?
Also what are good resoruces/reference (short & concise) to read on leading (I want few basic rules to go by).

why would you underlead the A?
You'd lead it.
There are some good books on opening leads, altho I don't think any of them are new....expert practice hasn't changed as much in this area as it has in many other aspects of the game. It's 4 am here so I'm not going to try to quote some titles from memory but a little internet research should quickly find some for you.
