Somebody knows when the bidding boxes appears in bridge.

From wiki, invented in 1962; first used in World Championships in 1970.

Reading between the lines, 120248 is a bidding box, researching their family tree.

Are you sure? I don't understand how a bidding box can include an "8". I thought the rule change disallowing bids of 8 or more came in before bidding boxes where introduced.....

I'm pretty sure 120248 is their Jannersten Bridge Supplies serial number.
