2/1, nothing special. 4-4 hands in the minors are opened 1♦.
Assume a 12-14 range hand.
When is it Ok to rebid 1N on this pattern and when is it better to rebid 2♣.

1NT for me. This is much more accepted than opening 1NT on a 4441.

1=4=4=4. 1♦-1♠,?
Almost always 1NT rebid. Would only rebid 2♣ if all the
points are in the minors.

Agree 100% -- in fact, I open 1♣ on these hands (playing 2 over 1 or SAYC, of course) and avoid a possibly awkward 1♦-2♣ constructive sequence, or a very probably awkward 1♦-(2♣) overcall sequence. Partner doesn't always have spades and doesn't always get to show then when he does.
