Bidding goes: 1S from left- prd bids 2D- RHO bids 2 S and u pass with S xxx, H A10xx, D Q9, C 10xxx. LHO passes and prd bids 2Nt. Parameters r Dbl from prd would have been T/O or strong hand any shape, 1Nt would have been 15-18 balanced and Michaels would have been split range either weak or strong but not intermediate. What does prd have and what shld i do now?

Bidding goes (1S)-2D-(2S) to you and you pass with xxx A10xx Q9 10xxx. LHO passes and partner bids 2NT. Agreements are that double from partner are takeout or a strong hand with any shape. We also play normal 1NT overcalls and Michaels cuebids. What does partner have and what should I do now?

If partner had 15-18 balanced with 5 diamonds would he still bid 1NT?
He's probably semi-balanced with two doubletons and 5 diamonds in the 15-18 NT range. Something like:
Ax Qxxx AKxxx Kx

Strong minor suited x xx Akxxxx Akxx or something like that - I don't think bidding balanced strong at that point is sensible.

Yep...delay unusual....good playing hand with 6-4 in minors. First I would wait for RHO's call. If it is a pass or double, I bid 3 (only) clubs.
