I would double to show bust. For bad or worst I require an ace or 2 Kings for a positive response (King and queen is borderline, you can do both depending on shape, spots etc).

Some play X shows bust
Suit shows that and some values but not as strict as 2/3 top honors
So pass would be forcing

I don't think we set 3 sufficiently to score better than our game. If MPs might gamble 3N, but IMPs 4 planning to rebid 5 if available.

Partner could potentially have no heart stopper or Axx or something so I'd bid 3S. If he chooses a minor over 3N that cannot be bad.
