SCREAM uses its 3/4 structure

.......P
1C-1D, 16+, 2-4 QPs
2N-3C, 20, Puppet Stayman
3N........no major

I upgraded that hand, but a more conservative auction would get to the same result.

.......P
1C-1D, 16+, 2-4 QPs
1N-2S, 18-19, size ask
3C-3D, strong, short clubs
3N

Hopefully we can all bear through these less interesting deals. We're also looking at right-siding issues, information leak, as well as whether a standard contract is reached.

We play 2NT as 20-21. This hand may be upgraded, but it doesn't matter much for the end result.

2NT-3 (20-21 bal ; Muppet Stayman)
3-3 (no 4 or 5 card M ; puppet to 3NT)
3NT-pass (obligated ; meant as signoff)

Alternatively:
1-1 (16+ ; 0-7 or GF 4441)
1NT-2NT (18-19 bal ; Puppet Stayman)
3-3 (no 5 card M ; 4 and implying 3 card )
3NT-pass (no fit ; ok)

Or if North is afraid of s:
1-1 (16+ ; 0-7 or GF 4441)
1NT-2 (18-19 bal ; Stayman)
2-3 (no 4 card M ; puppet to 3 to show a shortness)
3-3NT (obligated ; short , no slam interest)
pass (not afraid of )

Unassuming club:

1C-1H
2C-3D (19+ any / 6-9 or 13+ with Qxxx+ diamonds -- 2D would show 10-12 range)
3NT -- this is opener's first chance to support hearts so he ought to have 4 if he bids 3H here, and most responder hands with a fifth heart would have bid 2H over 2C.

Malfoir:

1C-1D (0-7)
1H-2C (artif 19+ / waiting 5-7)
2NT-3NT (19-20 no 4CM / to play)
or, if opener chooses to call this a club hand rather than a balanced hand
1C-1D
3C-3D (19-23ish club one-suiter / 4-7ish, 5 diamonds)
3NT

Can imagine about 3 different auctions possible in Polish. Will let our other polish club contributor pick one.

Silent Club:

North is a 2 preempt for us, 4-9(-) with 5+ diamonds and a 4+ major. Either way, that auction leads to 3N by south. Depending on preempting style, 2nd seat Vul might mean South expects a sound preempt hand and forces to game. Otherwise he can invite, which is a more awkward auction but works out this time (might have to play 5-2 3 or miss a 5-3 major fit if opener is 5/5).

2-3 preempt; art GF ask
3-3 hearts; how many?
3-3N four; game

2-2N preempt; invitational ask
3-3N max with 4-5 hearts; game

If for some reason partner forgets to preempt or this was a second seat South hand instead of fourth,

1-1 strong; most 0-7, some GF
1N-2 19-21 bal; stayman
2-3N no major; game

In the NT auction, 3 after stayman would be the same shape but slam invitational values (~10+), which is possible in original 1 reply.

Playing my preferred MOSCITO variant, this is a 2 opening showing a preemptive hand with 4+ Diamonds and 4+ cards in either major

I would game force with the South hand, leading to the following auction

2 - 2NT
3 - 3
3 - 3N

2NT is a relay and establishes a GF opposite any maximum opening
3 shows 4+ Hearts and a max
3 shows precisely 4 Hearts

If folks supply an auction for a third seat opening, I will choose to use that because I'm trying to compare strong club systems. I see many will preempt this hand 2D North but not everyone will...just as many preempted 3C on a prior hand but not everyone will.

I would open 2N which is 20-21 in 4th seat but w/e.

2N 3C
3D 3N

Just for fun though, if I opened 1C:

1C 1D
1N 2C
2D 3C (3C=diamonds)
3N

edit: Sorry I'm an idiot was thinking north bid 1H in which case 3C=diamonds lol. If north bid 1D then he would bid 3D over 2D, and south would bid 3N. For the record I would respond 1D not 1H with the north hand.

IMprecision:

1 - 1 (strong, 5-8 balanced or 5+ hcp with primary diamonds and 2-6RP)
2 - 2 (GF relay, 4 and 5+)
2 - 3 (relay, 3451)
3NT - Pass

It doesn't work like that. The only reason I'm able to get away with my third / 4th seat opening club structure is the number of hand types that are excluded because they are preempts in first / second...

I understand. I'm not asking you not to preempt. I'm saying that if you furnish an alternate auction where you don't preempt, I'll be using that one. Some folks are offering two auctions.

I was providing my alternative non-preempt auction in case people were interested, but the North hand is a 100% preempt for us so. You should use the.preempt auction (although I suppose it doesn't matter this time).

I doubt you imagined that my actual auction would have been
2-2N (8-11 exactly 4 unbalanced, 0-3; asking)
3-3N (natural min; to play)
but this is not really Polish club, so I'll propose
P-1 (Polish)
1-2 (7+ 4+; 18+ 3+)
2-2N (7-bad 9 exactly 4; natural)
3-3N (natural; natural)
instead.
One option would have been to jump directly to 3N over 2, as I don't think there are that many hands where 4 on a moysian will be best (what do you think?) and this auction tends to indicate diamond weakness in declarer's hand.
Another option would be to play 3 over 2 as 7-11 4-5+ (so P-1; 1-2; 3-3N) but I play this as a max (9-11) instead (didn't put a lot of thought in it, perhaps the other way is better).
Did you think of something else?

By the way, any reason why the imprecision auction doesn't jump to 3N directly over 2?

We could, but at that point really weird distributions (i.e. 1471) were still possible. Slam does seem playable opposite something like x Axxx KQxxxxx x for example. I suppose that might've opened in front of the strong club but then again it might not.

P
... - 1 = 15+ nat/bal or 18+ any
1 = most non-GF
... - 1 = 18-20 any or 23+ bal
1 = relay
... - 1NT = 18-20 bal
2 = Puppet Stayman

2 = 4 hearts, <4 spades

3NT

The alternative for North would be to bid 3 over 2 showing 5+ diamonds. Either route ends up in the same contract here.

Boring for us:

1-1;
1NT (17-19 VUL)-2;
2-3NT (I think this hand is a "17+7"; if we invite, of course partner will accept).

If I treat opener as a 20 (reasonable, and better than I are doing it as a matter of course):

1-1;
1-1;
1NT (20-21 BAL)-2;
2-3NT
