I want to be in 6 and I need to find out of partner has the A or K so a 3 asking for keycards is not going to be helpful.
I will cue 3, if partner can cue 3 I will now bid 4 kickback and find out about the A. If partner answers 1
I think I'll bid 6 and not bother asking for the Q.
This may not end the auction, partner will bid 7 or 7nt with some more values.

4H, splinter.

If 4H is some sort of Ace Asking, than by all means bid 3H,
you need to give partner the chance to show some life, for
all we know, he could be dead.

I will not bid 3 because below 3 nt, it shows strain more than cue for slam.

I will not bid 3 because it asks stoppers, however pd will bid 3 NT with a lot of holdings that 3NT is inferior, and with any better holdings than that he could have bid 3 NT himself previous round, unless he has 4 card [dia] supp. Regardless i think 5 can not be any worse than 3NT imo.

So i am left with 4 - 4- 4. I don't know qhat 4 would be, if splinter it is definetely one of the best options. If it is something else i would bid 4, forcing of course.

agree with the above, if partner didn't bid 3 I don't wanna put spades into the picture, so 4 or 4 are the best options, 4 for me.

Very curious. I bid 3 patterning out and showing short hearts, saving a level vs. the splinter. We are on a game force so if pard bids 3nt, 4 is a natural slam try and we cuebid from there with zero danger of playing in spades cause I ain't cueing 4 of them.

I am basically asking all the way with room to find both black kings and pard and I are on the same wavelength patterning out wise but I know it's a minority view.

ps. Over a 4 splinter can pard really get frisky with no Aces but the right filler cards?

4 does an excellent job identifying the keycards as AKAKQAKQ, with the only doubt of A wich could be useful or not. Note that lack of 3 bid tells partner Q is not probably in play.

Partner would be insane to sing off with 3 keycards, I hope he goes directly to blackwood with 3 and cuebids with 2 of them, but this won't be always perfect.

3 seems to save space untill partner bids 4 next, then you have a mess to sort out.

To the 4 bidders, if you were playing Kickback (as per jillybean's post) would you be willing to try 4NT as a heart splinter instead?

If 4NT is the replacement for the 4H bid, I would make it, ..., 4H still gives partner room to show, if he is dead or not.
My first concern is to find out, if we have enough for the 6 level, and if I am sure, that we have enough, I will bother
with thinking, what to do, to find out, if we have enough for the 7 level.
