4N for minors?

There should be an explanation for 4N. I agree with South that it should show the minors.

Added to carry minors meaning of 4N over raised preempts major openings.

seems like we have touched this base with 4NT numerous times before.
GIB never takes it for takeout you always end up playing in 4NT.


even on this type of auction you would still think it is for takeout but
GIB just passes

hand actually happened in one of those free automated games within last 7 days will see if i can find it, but
in the past there have been previous posts on this takeout about 4NT being takeout and GIB always passes

eg 4♠ pass pass 4NT
you always seem to get to play 4NT

couldnt find it may have been playing anonymously on ipad with bots
but that was the auction I beid 2NT for minors 4-4 in minors and then over
opps game bid bid 4NT for takeout
