Granted, the 1NT opener is bizarre, but maybe if the explanation of 3N included "2H" instead of 2-5H", North would have passed 3N?

I don't know why you post this stuff. The 1NT opening is absurd. The 3NT bid is even more absurd. South was willing to play 2H, has found a much better fit in Ds and now bids 3NT? You can't blame a robot for being confused by this silliness.

The robot has no reason to pull 3N, since he doesn't know how odd South's bidding has been. South could just as easily hold ♠A986, ♥J2, ♦AK3, ♣AQ97. This is a recurring theme in this forum.

That hand is technically impossible 18HCP.
Gib can't be inviting to game since it passed 2H.

Well, interestingly the description of 4H is 6+H, so on some level GIB seems to know that South only has two? But it doesn't have 6+H, it has 5.

The four heart bid is based on simulations, I can imagine that 4♥ goes less down than 3NT in the DD simulation but I would pass as long as 3NT isn't doubled.
Anyway, we just learned that "garbage in, garbage out" applies to bidding opposite GIB. I agree with The Hog.

The world would be such a happy place, if only everyone played Acol :) --- TramTicket
