If any BBFers received ads on BBO yesterday and this morning, please take some time out and scan your computer for malware and virus.
We believe our adserver software has some vulnerabilities that were exploited to serve bad ads that are not from our advertisers. If you are lucky enough to have an active antivirus program, you are probably alright. Otherwise, please scan your computers to be safe.
Ads are now disabled until we setup a different adserver.
For the curious, we were using openx. Apparently this is a recent problem for openx (I saw posts from other companies complaining about identical problems, starting in November.)
If you would like a recommendation for free and decent software:
For malware, install this:

For antivirus, use this:

AVG or Norton or McAfee are of course, good too. I personally use Norton and it has been blocking the bad stuff everytime.
We are sorry for any problems and inconveniences this may have caused you. BBFers probably know how to DIY virus scans, but if you need any help, please email support@bridgebase.com with details.
