Ignored users and "View New Content"

The current version of the board software still marks topics as having new posts even in the case where all new posts are by users on my ignore list. It's a minor issue, but I'm wondering if it's maybe fixed in a newer version, or if it would be possible to change this in a future version.

I might still want to see posts from users on your ignore list.

Did I forget to use a smiley face, again?

I'm pretty sure I've even seen you reply to one of the users on my ignore list!

It's ok...based on this morning, I read facial expressions as well as I read irony.

Got the answer: "Ignoring has never worked for topics."
This is apparently a long-standing request; the thread I posted in was started 2.5 years ago.

Cool, thanks for checking. I'm not sure why it would be a difficult feature to implement, but I don't have any familiarity with IPBoard.
