IMPs Teams

Playing against a weaker team you get this hand vulnerable at IMPs.
Partner opens 1NT, you transfer to Clubs and partner shows a good hand for Clubs.
Do you bid 3C or 3NT now (both are to play) or will you go for 5C (no way to invite again and stop in 4C).
Do you feel confident about your decision or is it a gamble?

My partner has more then kqx, Qxx,Kxxx,KQx: And this minimum produces game. I will bid 3 NT anytime. If partner can speak positive with Kx in clubs and 17 HCPS, I would reject the invitation.
Kind Regards

I would lose five, six or seven tricks on your example hand, but I probably need to brush up my declarer play.

The way I play it, you can never transfer to 3m with a blizzard, so you should bid Three Clubs, and partner continues with a perfecto. Admittedly I will miss it opposite Qxx KJx Qxxx AKx, but no answer is gilt edged here, but against a weak team I don't feel the need to push.

U R right, the example was silly, I take yours- and bid 3 NT, as KGRs methods do not allow a reevaluation...
Kind Regards
