I really couldn't understand the problem on the second auction lol.
I would still pass on the first auction, although I am close to double now. Could easily be missing game opposite a hand with AQxxx diamonds and some good hearts: x AKx AQxxx xxxx for example.

No problem, the opps also might be missing a game. I mean, seriously, how can you think this construction is possible, let alone likely, the opps have 21 highs and 9 spades with almost solid suits and have passed and then preempted clubs?
