Still, it should have a stopper to bid that, especially considering how easily a player bidding 6 could have a singleton or void club. And west really should have doubled 6NT with that hand.

You are kidding me aren't you? West has a clear cut pass. Do you want to give Nth Sth a chance to bid 7S which is 1 off, or even makes on a non c lead.
