I'm playing AK and then the 8♦. (Hopefully partner hasn't encouraged with the Q♦.) I don't want a ♣ return and if I'm very lucky, I'll get a ♠ ruff before South can draw trumps.

I think I probably should have started with the K♦, as long as partner will show count, but its too late now.

hmm...I think partner is 5224 and declarer 3631 - AK♦ and switch to ♠. Partner holds 5-7 HCP, none are in ♦ and at most Q♣, so I hope he either has the A♠ in which case I will get an immediate ruff, or Kx of ♥ in which case I will get it 2 tricks later.... dont want to make partner ruff from Kx and loose his entry.
Was he Ax♥ and I get the blame?
