I've been working on how to cope with interference for our 2m (natural limited) opening. Now looking at 3-level interference.
2C (3S)
.....dbl-thrump, asks if opener has a stopper, GF
.....3N
.....4C-competitive
.....4D-choice of games, at least two strains
..........4H-opener willing to play hearts
..........4N-opener willing to play diamonds
..........5C-opener has no interest in hearts or diamonds
.....4H-single-suited
.....4S-diamonds
or
2D (3S)
.....dbl-thrump, asks if opener has a stopper, GF
.....3N
.....4C-choice of games, at least two strains
..........4H-opener willing to play hearts
.....4D-competitive
.....4H-single-suited
.....4S-clubs
Using this method, it might actually be possible to play NFBs at the 3-level
2C (3H)
.....dbl-thrump, asks if opener has a stopper, GF
.....3S-non-forcing!
.....3N
.....4C-competitive
.....4D-choice of games
..........4S-willing to play spades
...............4N-diamonds and club tolerance
..........4N-diamonds
.....4H-diamonds
.....4S-single-suited
Perhaps 3S needs to be forcing and we're certainly used to it being forcing, but it would also be very valuable as GI with spades. I think that hand will come up a lot.
2C (3D)
.....dbl-thrump, asks if opener has a stopper, GF
.....3H-non-forcing
.....3S-non-forcing
.....3N-
.....4C-competitive
.....4D-COG
..........4H-willing to play hearts
...............4S-spades and clubs
So what if responder has GF values, a suit and length/stopper in the opponent's suit? He judges between 3N and his suit.

It's the closest thing to a situation where Thrump actually makes sense that I have yet seen.

I would suggest:
2C (3H)
.....dbl - 5♠+ INV+
.....3S - stopper ask, if really strong hand then 2♥+ probably.
.....3N
.....4C - competitive
.....4D - some sort of RKCB with ♣ (typically short ♥)
.....4H - diamonds
.....4S - single-suited
2C (3H)
.....dbl - 5♠+ INV+
.....3S - stopper ask, if really strong hand then 2♥+ probably.
.....3N
.....4C - competitive
.....4D - some sort of RKCB with ♣ (typically short ♥)
.....4H - diamonds
.....4S - single-suited

Agree.
My first thought when reading 'Thrump theory'
was near exclusively vs. 3S. To counter when maximum space was stolen.
Thrump wins when 3NT makes but 4NT fails.
