Obviously someone scared to pull the trigger. Who saw the snake? (ATB)

We had the discussion in another thread- about 95 % play 3 here as forcing- so did north.
I had bid 3 NT with the south hand anyway, but obviously he shared the minority view that 3 is not forcing.
Kind Regards

I don't care if 3 is forcing or not forcing, I would bid 4 on the North hand.

I know which game I want to play in. Bidding a forcing 3 is pointless.

You know, this got me asking the same question that has probably been bothering you...Was Jim Morrison a bridge player? As usual, it's best to return to the original text:

Lost in a Roman wilderness of pain
And all the children are insane
All the children are insane
Waiting for the summer rain, yeah...
...Ride the snake, ride the snake
To the lake, the ancient lake, baby
The snake is long...seven miles
Ride the snake, he's old, and his skin is cold
The west is the best
The west is the best

West is the best, huh? You make the call.

I play a meta agreement any bid over 2nt here is gf. With a dead minimum you just pass do not correct.

In any case 1h and 2c shows then h again shows a huge hand. Just rebid 1h- 2h with minimum.

Even if 3 is not forcing it shows a good hand and South has way too much to pass.

North would not be able to tell if 3nt or 4 or partscore is best.

4 is my choice here but turn the Q into some diamond fill and 3nt will be better quite a few times.
