Agree, every conceivable condition for an opening bid is present. Only severe hardcore point counters would consider pass. Many (most?) players would open with one less spot card in diamonds.
I'm surprised you are asking this, I suppose it must be for someone else's information, rather than your own.

Do you let the double stand?

I suppose you might try 5C but that's just asking to run into trouble - no way would I do that at the table.
Yes, given the misfit it would have probably been better to defend 4H, but partner didn't leave you that choice

Partner did not ask for my opinion, and I didn't promise him anything in spades (or, for that matter, in hearts). I have two tricks for him. Hopefully that is enough.

I play a weak 1NT opening, so I don't have this problem. I might bid 3!c regardless though.

That is not what transpires at my table. I would have bid 3c. Fortuneately I can do this since for me bidding 3c directly is weakish and shapely.
You should let 4s stand, partner knows what he is doing, pulling this would be beyond absurd. An AK is a good hand in context.

playing support doubles pard knows we have 0-2 spades and can figure out we have d and clubs on this auction so no problem.

I would only bid after 1D P 1S (2H) if I were playing some form of good/bad where I could show a weak hand with both minors. I can't bid 3C on this and also on an 18-count with both minors.
As the auction has gone, I pass 4Sx. I admit to being a bit nervous about it, as it might well be right to pull, but it's horribly ill-disciplined to do so. With a 0=1=6=6 I would bid (if I hadn't yet).

Good/bad would be helpful. Limited openings would be helpful.
Imo, without these, if you decide to open it, you really need to complete your description. You had alternatives...open 2D and then compete in clubs...pass and then make an unusual 2N call; opening 1D and not bidding 3C is worse than either of these. I agree with opening 1D, but your distribution is why you opened it. Your shape is the most important thing about your hand...not your high card points or defense potential.
Your knr is 15.3. Your losers are 5. It's appropriate to be competing at the 3-level with this.
3C is not looking for 3N and if partner bids 3N he's got a good hand and should make it. He needs to know your shape so he can compete in a minor and know whether to double off 4S.

To quote Frances, I was horribly ill-disciplined and pulled 4♠X and I really should trust my partner.
