A partner can convince me to play nearly anything, but if partner breaks agreements, then you will fairly fast reach the point, that I wont be interested in playing any longer. Stick to your agreements.

North is marked with some length in spades. Possibly, he might have made a preference to 4♥ with a doubleton honour. He will have a singleton heart more often than a singleton club, making a lead-directing double of clubs more likely to establish a trick.. On the other hand, South could have proposed 4♥ with a fair six-card suit. His failure to do so is an argument in favour of a ♥ lead.
Is this reasoning too speculative, something you invent when you hold East' hand?

Having seen pard's hand, I find dbl as reckless as his overcall LOL.

and decided that we dont stand much of a chance on ♠ lead and took a risk. Whether i agree with his decision or not is an other story but i made lightner doubles (asking dummy's first suit) so many times that was not believed by partners and they all were down on the lead i want but pd didnt lead.
My last bad experience was when i was playing with Jeff Goldsmith, he didnt lead dummy's suit and they made it. He explained me why he didnt lead and he has all the reasons not to lead it, i would probably not lead too if i were him. In my own experiences over analysing pd's DBL costs more than anything else. I lead it when i am asked to lead a suit.

Pd doesnt know if he is cashing 2 ♥ tricks or not, he knows leading ♠ will be bad (assume he doesnt have ♠Q either) And if u read my previous post i said "whether we agree with his decision or not is another story..."
The hand diagram that i gave, is much more realistic than the original deal and auction to me, at least for my level of bridge, whatever level that might be.

By process of elimination it has to be a club looking for the ruff.
