Pick up partner, 2/1, imps.
How to deal with this type of hand.

2d is game forcing, so what is the proper bid?

Two options:

(1) Many play a jump to 3 as an invitational 5/5
(2) You can bid 1NT or 2NT (depending on how sound partner opens).

I would go with a notrump bid on this one; the suits are not so great that I am eager to bid 3.

Hi,

3D showes 5-5, most would play it as GF.

If you want to force to game bid 3H, otherwise 1NT.

3D as an invitational 55 strikes me as "unsound" in general and as "suicidal" with the present hand.

Anyway, there's a very high misfit risk in this auction, so caution is advisable. 1NT seems adequate.
