I passed (I hated it too....) partner reopened with a double, I sat for it, and we set it 2 tricks. Comments? Thoughts? Ridicule?

3NT for me but I don't like it much.
I agree with passing the double at IMPs. 300 is likely and we could get more. But at matchpoints 300 is not enough so I would bid unless I needed a top.

3NT looks obvious to me (on the first round, abstain on the second round). Partner is a passed hand but still rates to have enough for us to make game.
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

I would certainly bid 3NT the first time.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

I can double and pull a ♣ response to ♦ without showing the world's fair by agreement (same level conversion). We could make a whole bunch of either red suit.
That said, I'm bidding 3nt on this one as a shot but a practical one.

I'd double, then bid 4♦ over 4♣, showing ♦ & ♥.
Three notrump isn't a bad bid, but I'd fear that we'd be missing a better game (or slam) in a red suit.

3 NT for me also.

Thanks for the responses, I did consider 3NT, but wasn't sure I had enough tricks in hand opposite a passed hand (especially with the stiff club). As you can see 3NT would have been bad, but 4♥ or 5♦ quite good.
We won a few IMPs when the other table tried slam, but I still wasn't happy with my bids. Thanks for the suggestions.

"3NT would have been bad"
A mild understatement....
(Please note, I'm just commenting on the lie of the cards, not on any of the above posters' bidding...)
