So at some point in the fairly distant future BBO will need to be ported to HTML5. Possibly making it usable on mobile devices. BBO moved from a stand-alone application to being Web-based with very few dramas. Moving from one web based technology to another is something that many people wouldn't even notice!
Also, this is a long way from being an issue. Flash isn't about to disappear overnight.
