I always forget to open my 2 suiters

It happened to me again. Now I have switched to multi 2♦ and 2M as 2 suiters, when I get my 2 suiters I pass them, or I open them in 1M with 9-10 HCP without thinking enough.
Now I am getting used o strong club its even worse, cos we have both minors also in our arsenal and I have already passed a couple of them as well. I just forget I have this tool now.
Any advice on how to overcome this problem?

All I can really advise you to do is to set up a partnership bidding room and set your hands to be the various 2-suiters, do maybe 50-100 with you as opener and then hopefully it will have been sunk in that that's what those openers show.

If 5-5 with most of the hono(u)rs in the long suit, 9-10 hcp seems reasonable for one of a suit .. particularly when playing a forcing club system. Not that this has anything to do with your question of course. <grin>

What I did for my system was to go through bidding sequences in my head over and over, all day. Not only does this get the opening bids firmly stuck in mind but also the follow-ups. Then lots of example hands during actual bridge practise. Between the mental cues you have set up and the hand pattern recognition from the examples the mental lapses should go away reasonably quickly.

Not sure what the best memory jolt is, but after posting this thread I'm sure you will never forget it now lol That always happens.
Well something similar also happened to a friend of mine when he was playing with me and I wanted to play something simple so 2D/H/S weak it was. However he had a European background so he had never played natural weak 2D in his life before so the first two or three times he had a 2D opener he forgot to open them. After that he started to think "damn I wish I can open these hands..." and that was the all he needed.

In the specific situation that you have described, why not establish a routine of pre-alerting the opponents? You are being super-ethical, while also reminding yourself. Partner can remember the pre-alert, as well.
"Gibberish in, gibberish out. A trial judge, three sets of lawyers, and now three appellate judges cannot agree on what this law means. And we ask police officers, prosecutors, defense lawyers, and citizens to enforce or abide by it? The legislature continues to write unreadable statutes. Gibberish should not be enforced as law."

Punish yourself with a discreet slap on the nape. Some kids will never learn otherwise.
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

Each time you realize it too late, buy the table a drink. Each time you don't even realize it and partner has to point it out to you, buy the entire field a drink.
Or, you can just focusssss!

I recognize this very well. Don't worry about it, it will pass.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.
