If one is playing 10-12 NT what type of hand does one have to open 1 of a major?
I have seen in recent posts opening 1 balanced and then bidding 1 NT to show 13-15 points etc

Do you open 1 with a 5-3-3-2 hand and 13 points or do you open 1?
If 1 then can the following bids resemble what would be done if playing 2/1?

Thank you

Playing a 10-12 1NT opening does not change the type of hand that you open 1 of a major. If you open sound, you still do. If you open light, you still do.

The two really do not have anything to do with each other UNLESS you decide that all 5332 hands with a 5 card major should be opened 1NT if you are in range.

I would either open all 5332 hands 1nt and/or play 2/1 but with a semi-forcing nt where the opener would pass 1nt with a 5332 10-12. 1nt might play better than 3M even if partner was making the 3 card limit raise.
