Pass = 1 or 4
1st step = 2 without the queen
2nd step = 2 with the queen
I thought that this was standard. I play it like this regardless of whether I play 0314 or 1430, I prefer to follow DOPI.

Well, you do of course have to play one of these (most commonly DEPO) if their interference is higher than 5 of your suit. It might be sensible to play it if their interference is one level below too.

Yes, I meant to say that I use it even if they interfere with 5♣ and we have spades (ROPE if they double).
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.
