3 is explained as 6+S; 11-12 total points. North has neither.

Whenever South rebid 2N instead of 3, North rebid 3, explained as 4D and 11+

If you count 9 HCP +1 length spades +1 then its 11 TP. It might even be considered to be worth that much as evaluated by a human with the double fit. Why can't GIB deceive it opponents to get to a safe contract, its no danger to partner as partner has denied diamonds. Why didn't any human bid 2, 4-3 fit at least isn't bad.

4-3 fit isn't so good if you'll be taking the ruffs in the long hand.
