I would definitely double in case partner can bid 3N. Not hard to imagine 3N being better than 5D, and if partner bids 4H I will just bid 5D.
Depending on partner/form of scoring maybe I should be concerned they will pass the X with 3424 and not much in spades or something, but most people don't do that when they overcall and jump raise as I could easily be void. Even if it's MP and my partner likes to do it I would X because getting to 3N seems pretty important.

I hate dbl. Pard is more likely to leave it in than to bid 3NT with Kxx or Axx.

DBL was the winning bid, we make 3 NT but 5♦ had no play. I bid 5♦ and went down, i wanted to DBL but was scared for the reasons Justin said, at the time i thought 5♦ has a good chance.
