Very good to see Roland getting recognition for the huge amount of (voluntary) work he gives to BBO

Congratulations Roland!

Unfortunately the award will have to be split among the fifteen or so WaldDK's :)

Yes, I am surprised it has taken quite this long. There must have been some fairly impressive feats achieved by other people to win this award in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.

Congratulations, Roland.

Well, the BB may be easier to win this year than usual, but the IBPA awards surely were not! Roland, Helgemo and Rodwell/Horton would all be in the running for the award of the decade.

Congratulation, Roland! Your contribution to the bridge world is profound.

And the Helgemo's hand will definitely go down in the bridge history.

Congratulations Roland! It's not so easy getting up at 4:30 AM to tune in to the bridge broadcasts from Veldhoven. But it's such a pleasure even at that time of day listening to you and your indefatigable colleagues discuss the bidding and play. Your broadcasts have added so much to my enjoyment of the game. Thank you!

Didn't the BBO News have an article about Roland a few months ago?
