I'm just after having a best hand tourney, and the Gib E/W had this auction:

1C-1NT
2C-2S

What does 2S here show for you, and what would 2H instead of 2S mean?

Not sure at all, but my (severely impaired) logic syas its some kind of very maximal hand with 4 clubs and showing- something like AT9, QT, KJTx, Txxx, or even AKx, Tx, AT98, Txxx?

"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

1NT over 1 shows balanced hand. 2 is about 11-15 (16) hcp, depending on how picky you are with the suits to jump. 2 major after 1NT by responder should max and raise to 3 with weakness in unbid major or kind of 2NT bid with weakness in the unbid major incase pd is stiff imo.

A very good raise to 3C for me. Far better than a courtesy 3C raise.

1C 1N
2C 2S

1N=9-11 Hcps without S/H4 cards,so must have fit.2 confirmed it with 4+ or 3 good suit and good that implied weak &,2 also meant better than 3 bidding,it's gm try for 3N or 5,following that sd check / stoppers,if yes play 3N otherwise try 5 and u might consider the contract can be stopped at 4 when u find 5 will be in danger.

More likely this one as following:
1H 1N
2D 2S

2 is an unnormal bidding again, here 2 is 11-12Hcps with 5+ INV hand.I sd point out here's 2 doesnt mean anything about suit but also means better than 3.

Maybe it should mean something about spades, afterall 2 would logically mean exactly the same.
