Hi,
As a french TD, I use to organise french tournaments where only french speaking players are allowed. Why do I find foreign players in the list of players looking for a part ? Players not speaking french in their countries (turkish, spanish, welsh...). I understand that players from Belgium, Swiss, Moroco.. can enlist (they speak french), but what's the use of filters if they do not work ?
thx for answer

Hi Roumi, welcome to the Forums!
What filter do you use? "language"? In this case, anyone can change their BBO settings to use the language you selected (French). Try to use the Country restriction - this one works by IP so changing flag will not help. Only players located in France, Morocco, Belgium etc. will be able to join. However you should combine this filter with a "Custom list" for those players who are French but live elsewhere.

I think that after a certain number of requests for subs the software drops all filters and takes anyone willing to join. Not very sure though - perhaps i am wrong.

People who are fluent in French can certainly live in countries not normally considered "French-speaking". Same for any language, really.

Sure. People who speak English have been known to live in the USA!
