Hello,

I'm new on bridge and BBO (registered yesterday).
I have a first question before using BBO with my partner: should I use the online php/Flash game, or the downloaded executable ?
What are the differences, and which is the most recent version ?

I have another question : how can I play with my partner ? Is it possible to "reserve" a seat for my partner on a table (new or already created) ?

Welcome to BBO - and to the Forums.

The web version is the latest BBO version and we recommend that you use that one. There are advantages and disadvantages to both versions, but the Flash client will be continually improved and upgraded, while the downloadable version will no longer be updated.

On the latest BBO version (the web version) there are several ways to play with your partner:

- click Start a table and in the next screen there is an option to Reserve seats at your table
- click Help me find a game and in the next screen click "I have a partner - take us to a table". Using this option, the software will automatically take you and your partner to a table.

The advantage when you open your own table is that you can lock the seats (enable the "permission required to join" option in the Privacy settings) and choose your opponents.
When using Help me Find a Game you get to a game faster.
