3 would show your hand, but I'm afraid to do it "red" .... so pass for me too.

I might have bid 4 instead of 2. 3 now.

Obvious 3 bid IMO.

I could have bid 4 too but DBL by LHO slowed me down. About 2 bid ... it may help pd to figure how much he can help us, but on the other hand this stiff K makes me believe they can lead if i dont mention it at all, which would definetely be a great + in 3-4 . Also mentioning makes it much easier for opponents to DBL and defend accurately if we are too high already.

I would never consider passing though.

Close decision. Passing could miss game. Bidding could result in a penalty. but I guess
3 = 10, Double = 9, 3 = 8, Pass = 7.

I can't understand the passers. I would bid 3H which is far superior to 3S in my opinion.

I still have AKQxxx of hearts, right?

(3)
I once yelled at my partner for discarding the 'wrong' card when he was subjected to a squeeze that I allowed by giving the wrong count with too high a card. Now he's allowed to pitch aces when the opponents have the king in the dummy. At trick 2. When he could have followed suit. And blame me.

I must be getting old. I'd pass. I've already reversed at adverse, in a fairly dangerous auction. How much less than this can I have? In the context of having bid 2, my spades are awful, my hearts mediocre, and my minor-suit values useless.
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

What kind of hand from partner are the bidders hoping for?

This hand doesn't seem strong enough to bid 3 with the poor suit and stiff K when vul. Passing doesn't look great either with a 6-5 and suits headed by A and AKQ. 3 is what I'd go for.

etc, etc.

Oh dear, I can't really understand the bidders - is my judgment really that bad?

What do the bidders think partner will expect them to hold for their 2 bid? I do wonder whether those wanting to bid now are suggesting that they don't really trust their partner's judgment. Looking at it another way, I think this hand has a lot of losers unless partner has some sort of fit for the spades, which seems unlikely in view of the take-out double.

My first instinct was pass since I have bid 1H and 2S all by myself at unfav didn't I?

3. Come on, how often are you dealt a 65 with 4 losers?
