XIMPS scoring.
A couple of questionable calls already perhaps. Over 3S-P-P, partner had a thrump double available (yes we don't penalise that often). As for not leaving the first double in, well, let's just say you'll be glad you didn't (no surprise really after 4C).

Anyway, we're now at this juncture, what will you do now?

If you pass:

I would bid 4NT if it was going to be taken as keycard, but I don't really know. I won't risk playing 4NT so pass hoping to hear 4N from partner, when he doesn't I'd bid 5.

I would like to vote for 4 :P

As it is, I'll bid 4NT as RKC. I can't really be expected to have more in terms of controls and trump support. The only problem is my holding, but certainly my partner has them under control to explain his slam try and the opponents bidding.

4NT. I actually don't care much what pard makes of this since I get a feeling he's misjudging.

Over 4NT, partner bids 5D (1), 6C or 6NT?

Tough one, there's just a faint chance that if you play 6, partner has xx, AQJx, x, Qxxxxx or similar and you have 12 in NT but lose the first 2 in clubs.

There is also a reasonable chance that you just don't have the tricks in NT and a ruff in clubs helps you home, x, AJxx, Qxx, QJxxx where you need 3 but not 4 heart tricks playing in clubs or it's laydown if J is the Q, you don't need the 4th one.

I'd be inclined to bid 5 here over 5 to highlight the issue, not sure what else it can be asking for at IMPS other than the spade position as I can't be unilaterally investigating a grand, partner with one of the top 3 (the other holding I might do this on is AQ tight) or a singleton should bid 6, with xx should bid 6N.

I can hardly be wishing to sign off in 5N with the 5 bid, but if partner does bid 5N I'll bid 6 now and hopefully he'll get the message second time.

I bid 4 to give information rather than take control.

LHO (and BBO) won't accept your insufficient bid.
