Matchpoints. Red vs. White. In fourth seat you hold:

Void, AT653, AQJT, AT43

(1H)-P-(P)-??

Thanks for your thoughts.

Pass.

Anything I do could take them to a better contract. Even if my partner holds 5 spades they have a fit there while they might not in hearts.

Also, he rates to not have a heart void when he leads the 3.

Pass. Partner has at most 3 hearts (and more likely 1 or 2), and hasn't been able to make noise, which is a huge warning sign. Also, who has the spades? If partner has five spades, then he really is broke for not overcalling, and if he has 4 or fewer, I'm happy to have them in their 2nd best fit with everything breaking badly for them.

Really?

They've opened in my best suit and I have a void....in spades?

This was really the auction.

What I did is below. (full confession, I was killing time playing the free individual express tournament so the quality of any and all of the 4 players at the table is questionable).

Spoiler

Pard rates to have some 4144 or 4153/35. Anything can work here, but if you want to bid, you have to keep spades out of the picture. Either a natural 2NT or a 3 balancing bid. Yes I know these are revolting bids, but it's either that or having them outbid you in spades.

Does partner have a trap pass?
Spades less than an overcall?
Both minors not 2NT-unu, nor 2D, then 3C overcall?
Nor 2C,2D overcall?
Nor T/O Dbl? Surely with H-short.

Have to play well in 3D to beat the 50s Bunny. Still, if you bid then 2D is clearly the best option.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.
