what do you do with this?

Would you prefer to play 4N in this auction as keycard for hearts? (yes I see the void & the small doubleton, but this is a separate question).

Would 5N be GSF, or just looking for alternate strains? How about 5?

If u wanna go scientific i would start with 5 comiting to 6 and willing to hear cue, but i can see blasting 7 has merits to it also for several reasons.
"Genius has its own limitations, however stupidity has no such boundaries!"
"It's only when a mosquito lands on your testicles that you realize there is always a way to solve problems without using violence!"

"Well to be perfectly honest, in my humble opinion, of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view, but also by looking into this matter in a different perspective and without being condemning of one's view's and by trying to make it objectified, and by considering each and every one's valid opinion, I honestly believe that I completely forgot what I was going to say."

Bergen defines 1H (4S) dbl as tolerance/weak support for hearts. He lists...

AJ K7 A7542 J853
and
752 A9 AQJ 97432

as ideal examples.

With both minors, he bids 4N.

I think this makes sense. The double is flexible and partner can convert.

I think it's pretty difficult to find partner without a diamond control, so I'll try 5. No matter how flexible the double is I don't think it's a good idea to double here unless I have some authorized information about partner holding AKQ of spades or the overcaller's tendency to confuse diamonds with spades.

Also, he rates to not have a heart void when he leads the 3.

5.
4NT and 5NT are both choice of strains.
The cuebid shows a good raise, and since it is above 5 of our suit and therefore invites a grand it also shows 1st round control in spades.
At least this is what I'm used to, fwiw.

Good hand for a tactical shot. All of 5, 6 or 7 would be good bids, depending on match status.

Scientifically, 5 is probably the best percentage bid. Even better if that's voidwood.

4NT if RKCB, gambling on pard's keys to be outside spades, is also a possibility.
