overcall or double

What if you were 2524? Or with unpassed partner?

I am more interested in reasoning rather than what exactly you do.
Seeking input from anyone who doesn't frequently "wtp", "Lol" or post to merely "Agree with ..." --sathyab

I would double because it is much safer, and if we have a 4H game partner *probably* needs 4 hearts anyways as a passed hand (in which case we will still get there).

Agree. Dbl is quite the better bid because pard is a passed hand.

I'd double even opposite an unpassed hand. With 2524 and the same hand I would pass.
