"Gibberish in, gibberish out. A trial judge, three sets of lawyers, and now three appellate judges cannot agree on what this law means. And we ask police officers, prosecutors, defense lawyers, and citizens to enforce or abide by it? The legislature continues to write unreadable statutes. Gibberish should not be enforced as law."

My thought exactly.
Partner needs to think of what his purpose is for coming into the auction if he doesn't want me to bid 2 here.

I can see how pass can win at MP's. Stil 2. At imps it would be 100% 2 here I wouldn't mind if my pd passes to be honest but I wouldnt.

The layout was something like that, right? :) And after W Xed and it went all pass partner wasn't thrilled. That'll teach em to have clubs instead of diamonds.

Honestly, all the bidding tells us that the layout is very bad for us, but truthfully I would still bid 2 and not think twice.
I once yelled at my partner for discarding the 'wrong' card when he was subjected to a squeeze that I allowed by giving the wrong count with too high a card. Now he's allowed to pitch aces when the opponents have the king in the dummy. At trick 2. When he could have followed suit. And blame me.

Pass vs most opps but Ill bid 2S vs know customers. Its a two way street to get X here. Opener might might a take out with xtras value that responder will be happy to pass with a hand he woulndt double and if opener pass responder can X for 100% penalty. You have to understand that these auction reprensent twice the risk without twice the upside. Even undouble -200 is going to be bad nad -100 might not be a great score.
From Psych "I mean, Gus and I never see eye-to-eye on work stuff.
For instance, he doesn't like being used as a human shield when we're being shot at.
I happen to think it's a very noble way to meet one's maker, especially for a guy like him.
Bottom line is we never let that difference of opinion interfere with anything."

2 - partner should know that after the 1NT, this can be on slightly shaded values.
To bid 2 is the more important, that we have the , and opps need now to go to 3level.
