My partner and I are quite keen on moving on from playing a basic symmetric relay structure over a strong club (1C:1D negative, others artificial positives) to a more complicated version, eg Richard's 1C:1D art GF, 1C:1S art double negative. However, due to the EBU's policy of only permitting agreements that have been applied for, only 1D and 1H may be played as artificial negative responses (until sometime next year at least). Can anyone suggest a response structure that fits in with these regulations:

1D and 1H may be one or two of - artificial negative; GF with any agreed meaning; showing 4 cards in the bid suit.

"All responses may be forcing or non-forcing. Any response showing at least four cards in one or more specific suits is permitted, as is any response showing a balanced hand, or any response which is game forcing."

I think I've seen a structure where 1H is the double negative, would that be suitable?

TIA

If you use 1 as double negative, you can still enjoy the benefits of semi-positive responses. I haven't seen such response scheme, but it probably exists. As I remember, Paul Marston has experimented with it, but he switched back to 1 as double negative. Perhaps Richard has a complete scheme somewhere. Otherwise, I think you can make one yourself :D
